Hello fellow beer and wine lovers! We had a great time at the Ghost River Brewery today. If you couldn't make it, that's no problem. We plan to do it again in 2011! Keep an eye on the calendar!
We have a lot of plans for the group next year, including private wine tastings, home brew sessions and lots of exploring of local tastes and sounds. Some events will require special planning on the part of your organizers. We depend on accurate counts to make these events happen.
So, as of today, we are instituting a new policy for "No Shows" (people who RSVP "Yes" but don't show.) It's perfectly fine if you can't come to a particular Meetup, but if you RSVP "Yes" and don't come, you will be removed from the group. Sorry, but like I said, we need to have accurate counts. If you are removed for this reason, you can always join again when you are less busy! It is not permanent.
Meetup makes it very easy to RSVP, change your RSVP and place comments on the website if you have last-minute issues. We simply ask that you use these features in a respectful way.
And remember, we're here to have fun! I hope to see you at a Meetup soon!
This meetup is for wine enthusiasts and beer lovers. We're mainly here to have fun with new friends! Everyone is welcome whether you're a novice or connoisseur. Prefer beer to wine? Like it the other way around? THAT'S OK! The main goal of this group is to have fun and enjoy those heavenly hops and glorious grapes without being snooty!
We have some great things planned for the group, including special wine tastings with local experts and home-brewing tips for the beer lovers! Accurate RSVPs will be very important to our ability to do these things. So, please be aware of our "No Show" policy.
Meetup makes it easier than ever to RSVP or change your RSVP. If you say you will attend a meeting and don't show up, you will be removed from the group. You will not be banned. You can always join again later, when you are less busy. If something happens and you just can't make it, leave a message on the website as soon as possible.
We're here to learn, have fun and of course, drink some good wine and brew!
