Germantown International Festival

From: Dan M.

On Saturday, August 20th, there will be an International Festival at the Germantown Baptist Church.  In previous years Jim Story (and maybe others) had helped out at the Japanese booth by giving Go demonstrations.  The lady who is organizing it this year, Akemi Sommer, is again looking for volunteer(s).  She is a professor at the U of M in International Studies, and the head of the Japanese American Society of Tennesse (west chapter).  The festival is from 11am to 5pm but we don't need to be there for the whole time.  I will be a volunteer and I am asking via this email if there are any others who would be interested.

This is a good method to expose our club to a larger audience and the festival itself should be enjoyable.

Drop me a note directly and by this weekend I will finalize with Akemi what our club with do.
