Please consult with the Hike Organizer before assuming your dog is welcome on a trip. Dogs are not allowed on the trails in some state natural areas or most national parks. If you bring your dog, it must be controlled at all times. No one likes an unrestrained dog pushing past them, especially on trails with a steep drop-off. Dogs may also limit the group's chance to observe wildlife.
