The first frog walk on May 18th is almost sold out, but due to an overwhelming popularity it will be repeated on June 1st.
Join Cathy Justis, Educational Director for the WRC, for an evening stroll at the Ghost River State Natural Area in Moscow, TN. There are 18 different native frogs in the Mid-South and about 6 live in this area. She will attempt to identify the frogs as they call for new mates. This is a beautiful part of the Wolf with star gazing available in a huge open field. It is a family event. So bring your long pants, long sleeves and mosquito repellent and come walk the Mineral Slough at dusk.
If interested there are several dining options- the Wolf River Café in Rossville, has a great catfish dinner, Brad's BBQ and Wolf River BBQ in Moscow. Remember it is 25 mins more to the meeting spot at Bateman Bridge, so allow ample time to eat.
To register, call Cathy Justis at[masked] or email her at [masked] by May 31st at 5pm.
We will meet at 7pm at the Bateman Bridge and drive to the Mineral Slough. Take Hwy 57 east to Moscow. Drive through the town and turn right onto Bateman Rd. Go down the hill to the bridge.
