Mushroom Hike at Strawberry Plains Audubon Ctr - register per below

Mushroom Hike - Strawberry Plains Audubon Center
Saturday June 7th, 10 am - noon; $5 per person/ $15 per family Join biologist and mushroom expert, Dr. Jason Hoeksema from the University of Mississippi, for some fun with fungi. Dr. Hoeksema will describe the basics of safely foraging for wild mushrooms, lead a short mushroom foray, and discuss how to identify common species of wild edible and non-edible mushrooms. If you've seen a lot of mushrooms pop-up following the recent rains, bring them along! Simply refrigerate in a paper bag until the day of the program. Participants are also encouraged to bring a basket or paper/canvas bags for collecting.
Spaces are limited, RSVP required. Email Mitch Robinson at [masked]
or call (662)[masked] to reserve your spot. Carpool/caravan departs Arlington Visitor Ctr (12036 Arlington Trail) at 7am - I'm going a little early to walk around and take pics - so bring your camera/binocs
