Castle Falkenstein

Castle Falkenstein is a tabletop RPG. The initial meetup will be for questions and character creation for those who wish to participate. With luck we may get some short bit of initial role play in, but we'll see how it goes. Castle Falkenstein is set in a Victorian world of Steampunk & Magic that has developed differently than our own world. For those who are familiar with the period you will recognize many things, but many others have changed. For instance our world has no Dragons who can shapeshift and the literary characters from our world are often real individuals in this one. Combine this with steam technology that produces computers, airships driven by steam, and Fae and orders of sorcerers and you get a world that holds adventures for everyone.

My goal is to make this a long term ongoing campaign that will meet every two to three weeks on Fridays, but we'll see how that goes. I am still learning GM'ing so go easy on me. If you are interested in participating please rsvp and feel free to message me with any questions.

On Sep the 20th I met up with a friend at the FLGS in an attempt to start a game of Castle Falkenstein. No one else showed up so that fell through, but we went out to a local pub then decided to head back to my place where he, my wife, and myself, played Talisman. I was playing the Dark Cultist, my wife was playing the Druid, and Jake, my friend, was playing the Swashbuckler. Both Jake and Susanna got off to a goo early start, but seemed to falter mid game. I on the other hand was literally on the verge of death for the first half of the game. Suddenly things changed though with the Druid dying in the dungeon. Shortly after that my Cultist accelerated forward and rather easily took the crown of command. It was a late game, but it was a blast.
