Well, old ladies too!
Come to the wild wild western side of NH, and join Roger and Ann Sweet, along with Rick Brackett of the Monadnock Conservancy, for this moderately strenuous exploration by snowshoe of newly-conserved land in Gilsum. The route will follow trails from White Brook to Porcupine Falls, with good opportunities for studying wildlife signs. Cosponsored by the Harris Center for Conservation Education and the Monadnock Conservancy.
I met Roger and Ann a few years ago, and they are the most delightful couple on the planet. For their 40th wedding anniversary last year, guess what they did? Led a hike for the Harris Center (and I have a hard time keeping up with both of them!)
Gilsum is just north of Keene, so it may be a 'hike' for some of you but well worth the company.
Dress for the weather, bring snowshoes and spikes just in case, and lunch and water.
I'll send out specific directions and parking information on Friday to those who sign up, as it depends on snow cover as to where we'll be parking.
