Transition Town Brunswick July Meetup: "Energy Solutions"

We will be screening a filmed presentation by activist and author, Guy Dauncey, entitled "The Great Energy Revolution: Practical Solutions to the Climate Crisis and Peak Oil", taken during his keynote speech at the Climate Change Town Hall Conference in Grass Valley, California. "Dauncey's lively and optimistic presentation is full of solutions for Peak Oil and the climate crisis that are do-able here and now. After outlining the facts of the situation, he illustrates a myriad of solutions already on the ground - conservation, efficiency, and proven technologies - as well as renewables, hybrid vehicles, and emerging innovations that will take us into 'The Great Energy Revolution'." This is a chance for us to look at what's going on out there energy-wise, see how it applies to us, and be inspired to implement some of these ideas here in the Brunswick area so we can start the essential and exciting process of transitioning away from fossil fuels.

It was exciting to meet you and your group and share info around transitioning beyond fossil fuels.
The film was educational and I look forward to sharing it with the Oxford Hills group.
Your enthusiasm, Amory, was uplifting and thank you for making me welcome. Perhaps Sustainable Oxford Hills and Transition Town Brunswick could plan a joint event in the future.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
