TIME (Time Initiative of Maine) and Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center in Gardiner will be hosting an evening of Transformational Economics: Introduction to Mutual Aid Networks.
Stephanie Rearick will be the featured speaker on collaboration and integrated community development models, including TimeBanking, Co-ops, and Transition Towns. Turning theory into action, she teaches us that we have everything we need if we use what we have.
Stephanie is the founder of Dane County TimeBank (WI), one of the largest TimeBanks in the U.S. We are excited to be hosting her for the second time. Back a couple of years ago Stephanie joined us in Madison, Maine, sister city to Madison, Wisconsin. She is an amazing speaker and holds a wealth of practical knowledge of community-building systems.
Stacey Jacobsohn will facilitate and coordinate the event. Light dinner fare will be served and participants are encouraged to bring dishes to share. The event is free and open to the public at no charge, however, space is limited and those interested in attending should RSVP with T.I.ME by e-mail at [masked] or call[masked]-4238. (NOTE: RSVPing on the Merrymeeting Resilience Meetup site will not register you for this event.)
