Museum Members Lecture - George A. Schastey: Artistic Furnishings

George A. Schastey: Artistic Furnishings for America's Gilded Age

If you are a member of the Met, you are invited to attend a free lecture by Nicholas Vincent, research associate, American Art. You will need to present your member card for entrance. The lecture starts at 1 PM and will likely go for about an hour.

Afterward, let's meet at the gilded Diana statue in the middle of the Charles Engelhard Court (aka gallery 700), and after 10 or 15 minutes get afternoon drinks or lunch in the American Wing Cafe to discuss.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
