Intro + Connections Workshop

Are you a designer? developer? creative coder? social entrepreneur? artist? musician? data wrangler? activist? educator? hardware buff?

We want you to join us for an interactive introduction to the Meteor Javascript platform, an innovative technology for creating interactive systems across many devices. Its philosophy is centered around the idea of reactive programming and ease of use for quickly bringing ideas to life, and is quickly gaining steam in the community.

Technology is only a means to an end though, and so we want to explore the possibilities together at our first event with people from a wide range of industries organizations and roles.

Our goal is to do it in an engaging and easy-to-understand way, aimed at both technical and non-technical folks. This will seed connections + interest for later meetups, hackathons and workshops, ultimately leading to new collaborations and ventures.

Come be a part of Meteor Ground 0 in NYC: Make your New Year's resolution now and commit to joining us on our journey to learn and play together!

More details shortly, and in the meantime, Happy Holidays!

The NYC Meteor Team

PS. Should you get the urge to play now while on break, here's the one tweet you need:

"A great project + writeup. Launch your app in 60 secs w/ the 1 book you'll want. Great videocasts + a full list of resources for step 2"

Looking forward to hearing what exciting web-doodads you're all cooking up in NY. I can't make it in person tonight but will aim to do so later this year.

Hope it goes well and good luck Steven & Nitya from your friends at Meteor London!

RSVP's are still closed but it says two slots are open. Guess I'll take a chance unless someone actually gets moved into both of those open slots.
