Learn about Prototyping in Meteor & Share Apps

This will be the first Philly Meteor Meetup this year!

Start-up guy and Meteor enthusiast Trevor Geise (that's me) will be giving a talk on using Meteor.js to validate start-up ideas, and how Meteor brought him from being a business development guy at the mercy of developers, to building out his own apps and creating an awesomely fast feedback loop.

We'll have plenty of time to chat about all things Meteor, talk about current projects or projects we'd like to start, and generally mingle.

If you're brand new to Meteor, this will be a great opportunity to learn a bit about it and what it can do. If you're new to coding, it's an awesome way to get your feet wet. If you're already familiar with Meteor we'd all love to hear about your experiences and see what you've been working on.

If you're willing to share your work please let me know and we'll get you set up!

Also, we're going to be in the awesome SEER Interactive space, which is a renovated church. And, I'll probably bring some food, so there's that.

Hi all, good meetup last night. If you want to see our all-meteor prototype, here it is: meteor.gophermd.com
Feel free to create personal accounts - you can help us test this as we move it along.

That was a very productive Meetup! Great job by all the speakers. Meteor really rocks. I'm glad to hear that the creators actively improve the program and that there is a huge following of developers helping out. ( http://docs.meteor.com/#top ) ..and here are the packages.. http://docs.meteor.com/#packages

The project I presented is live at https://spigu.net
Not much to do there for you yet but one day you might get the best webhosting service there :)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
