In this weekend Kirtan Training Intensive with Govind Das, director of Bhakti Yoga Shala in Santa Monica California, participants will cultivate the tools to enjoy the ecstasy and fulfillment in leading Kirtan- the ancient Bhakti Yoga practice of devotional mantra chanting. All levels of musicianship are welcome from total beginners to masterful musicians. Personal guidance and teachings will be given individually and collectively dependant upon the participants degree of musical understanding on how to develop their own personal path of leading kirtan. Participants are encouraged to bring their instrument of choice to the training. As well, during this intensive we will joyfully explore:How to Lead Kirtan with and w/o instrumentsKirtan as an authentic spiritual practiceKirtan Mantras, pronunciations and their meaningsBhakti Yoga and the Gurus/Saints of the Bhakti TraditionGods, Goddesses and their meaningsSinging Exercises and working with the instrument of VoiceRhythm Training and the power of tempo changes in kirtanGuidance on how to take your kirtan out into the world!Bring your Harmonium, guitar, shakers, drums and any other instruments you want to bring into your kirtan practice.and much much more!!!! Bring your Harmonium, guitar, drum, shakers, and any other instruments you want to bring into your kirtan practice. 

We will also be supplying instruments for the training as well.


Friday: 8-10 pm, Saturday: 1-5 pm, Sunday: 1-5 pm
