We meet at the Heritage Park on Saturday afternoons during good weather for pickup street hockey games. Saturday games are reserved for NON-COMPETITIVE play, let's have fun and get some exercise!
Repeat: All skill levels welcome! Be respectful and bring a good attitude.
Bring your own gear (although we have a couple extra sticks so you can try it out)! Heritage Park has nets and a paved rink, and nothing more. So, for continuous play, each person will need a stick and any protective gear you want. We will be using standard balls, and since we're just a pickup group, we don't require any protective gear (but we suggest it!) If you have extra hockey balls or sticks, please bring to share just in case.
Heritage Park is located on Farmington Road between 10 Mile and 11 Mile in Farmington Hills, MI. The hockey rink is located between the entrance to the park and the playground. It is behind the bathrooms and past the trees. For reference, the new waterpark playground contraption is to the left of the bathrooms when you're facing them, and if you walk between the two buildings and keep going, you'll find the rink. (It's kind of hidden, but you can see it on your way in from the service drive.)
If you're still not sure what sport, or what kind of hockey we are talking about... check a couple of videos we shot in December, 2014:
