Aficionados of wine, craft beer and local food can sample a wide selection while helping their local school district on Friday, April 11th at the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools Educational Excellence Foundation charity wine tasting event at Fox Hills Golf & Banquet Center in Plymouth Township.
The fundraiser, now in its fourth year, offers more than 60 varieties of wine and beer, including a worldwide wine selection and Michigan-brewed craft beer offerings. Proceeds go toward teacher grants in the Plymouth-Canton school district.
The event runs from 7-11 p.m., with pourings taking place from 7-9:30 p.m.
According to event chairman Jim Harb, last year’s event drew more than 400 attendees and raised grant money for the schools.
Local celebrity wine pourers will treat attendees to samples of the various beverages, while local dining establishments offer tastes of some of their popular dishes.
There will be a silent auction at the event and a web-based live auction.
Tickets are $40 and can be purchased at local Busch's Fresh Food Markets, the Showroom of Elegance in Canton, the Plymouth Canton Community Schools Board of Education Office or on line.
Note: There is a $2.00 Meetup fee for this activity, which will be collected at the venue unless you are a paid member. Thank you!
