Welcome to OUR meet up group! This group is designed to belong to everybody that joins us. We want to establish a place for dog owners who live in apartmens to meet, socialize and exercise their dogs as well as discuss ideas and strategies to keep our K-9 buddies happy without the back yard.
K-9s are pack animals and in the wild the pack will roam their territory which can cover a very large area. They do not see the same place every day over and over again. It is important to expose your dog to new areas, new scents and new mental stimulation. A properly exercised and properly mentally stimulated dog is a happy, content dog. And a happy and content dog does not usually develop bad habits like aggression, chewing, over excitement and many others. And if you are a commited dog owner like I am......a happy, content dog leads to a happy and content owner.
I have added a few spots to this site that Tex and I have discovered, but we really want input from everybody about that favorite spot that you have found for you and your K-9 buddy.
But don't let living in a home or having a back yard stop you from joining us! Come on and join the pack!
We can schedule meets at our favorite spots around the Metroplex and walk our dogs, work on training and network to enrich our lives as well as the lives of our pets.
