You guys! This is so awesome!
PLEASE INVITE EVERYONE YOU KNOW to participate or line the streets! We can make a huge difference in Tarrant County by supporting this event. (In contrast, the Dallas parade had over 100 entries and over 35,000 observers. In the rain!)
We will, once again, use Randy Word's truck as a support vehicle. Plan to park in the Intermodal Transportation Center (http://www.amtrak.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=am/am2Station/Station_Page&code=FTW). You must arrive at our staging spot by 11:00 a.m; the parade itself is from noon to 1:00 p.m. Stay tuned for more details.
There is a Street Festival after the parade, featuring pay-your-way beer, food, and other fun stuff. We will have a table this year at the festival which lasts until about 4 or 5 o'clock. We will be doing a "Hug and Atheist" for $1 fundraising drive for the Light the Night Leukemia and Lymphoma Walk so everyone is welcome to stay and help us with that effort. This festival will be within just a few blocks of the Intermodal Transportation Center; therefore, there will be no shuttles after the parade.
Bring cash for parking (organizers said it may cost $3 to $5 dollars), beer, food, and anything else we might all opt to do after the festival.
BRING IT to FORT WORTH!
