July 4th Parade for MAs and others

Join the Metroplex Atheists during our second year in this area's largest Independence Day Parade!

We walk the two-mile parade route waving flags and shouting patriotic greetings. For those who cannot walk (which includes children under eight who are not in a stroller or wagon, according to parade rules), we have limited space in the bed of a pick-up truck. Please let me know if you intend to ride on the truck.

You may also opt to ride a non-motorized bicycle.

The parade itself is from 9 to 11 a.m. We are required to be in our staging area no later than 7:30 a.m. Please note that there is no street parking near the staging area. There will also be no dropping off on Cooper Street.

Please RSVP on my FB event if you can:

If not, RSVP here.

I thought it went great even with the negative comments from the crowds and quite a few positive one too. =)

Special commemorative T-shirts are now available. You're not required to wear one, but we hope you will!
