Join us for an easy and pleasant bike tour on B27 on car-free Sunday between Heilbronn and Mosbach - it is an annual event which
attracts up to 30,000 people from far and near. The route is flat and smooth and will lead us through beautiful scenery along the river Neckar, simply a skater's delight! And those who like unhurried cycling
are welcome as well!
As the average speed will be around 15 km/h the tour is not suitable for
inline-skate beginners (Participation at your own risk - helmet strongly
We take the train from Stuttgart Hbf (Main Station) to Heilbronn. After a 15 km ride, the 'Bad Wimpfener Brückenfest' invites us for a break. Another 18 km later we reach Mosbach, from where we take the train back to Stuttgart (arrival about 6:15pm). Ticket costs: Around 8 EUR (bicycles are free).
Exact meeting point will be advised upon registration - BY EMAIL!
Please register with Christina Lang by June 15th so we have an idea how many will join in (christina.m.lang (at) gmx (dot) de, mobile: 0173-1057394)

Super day - the weather was just perfect and everyone enjoyed themselves. Even little Erica who is 7 managed the entire way (including to?from Stuttgart Hbf fo a total of 48 km). You missed a great trip if you did not come along!

My bike died just one day before the event, unfortunately I have to cancel my participation.

I have five colleagues who would like to join us but I was only able to add two to the RSVP. I'm not sure if the RSVP defaults to a limit of two or if there is really such a limit on this outing. I also let Christine know in my email that I have five interested. Do you see any problem? (of course, being Americans, half might not show anyway :-))

Hey Ken - That's great! I think 2 is just the default but the more the merrier! IT is a fun ride - see you then! Dennis

Just to clarify - this is on the B27 a 2 lane Bundesstrasse with ASPHALT which will be closed to car traffic - just bikes and in-liners (and longboarders). Very smooth and flat the entire way. No worries - you"ll be fine.

I am very interested in this. But I do not bike or inline skate. I enjoy longboarding. Is the ground surface rough terrain or smooth?

Oh with speed, I have no problems. I can maintain a 15km rate of speed with ease. Its just bricks and cobblestone have the tendency to be a pain riding on. So long as I am not riding entirely on that, I am good to go.Are you joining in Martin?

I will try to come but I am not yet sure whether I can make that date. I know the road conditions from the last years when I did it on inline skates (90mm whells). With that size of wheels it is no problem at all, but I guess yours are way smaller. Anyway, if you think you can make 15 kmh on your board at normal road conditions (there are no bricks and cobblestones), then you will have no problem to keep up with our crowd. If you bring the rope you may even tow some of our sluggish cyclists ;-).
