For nearly 900 years the Benedictine monastery Stift Neuburg has been located just outside the famous university city of Heidelberg and is still regarded as a place of peace and contemplation in the Palatinate.

Join us for a hike (approx. 6 km) on the Philosophenweg to the monastery, where we can enjoy lunch and organic beer from the local brewery. We will then be guided through various areas of the monastery. During a tour, which includes a short film, we will learn the remarkable history of the Benedictine abbey. Hiking boots are recommended.

Price for the train trip to Heidelberg from Stuttgart: €7-9 (depending on number of participants)
Donation for monastery tour: free for MetClub members, guests €5

I pleasant hike, good food, freshly brewed beer, and interesting tour of the Abbey and nice evening meal. The rain shower was OK. Great day - you missed it!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
