The lengthy tour leads us around Stuttgart on the hiking path "Stuttgarter Rößleweg". By making some minor modifications, this scenic round trip is also great for cycling.
What qualifies you for this ride?
- You are in good shape and so is your bicycle.
- Mountain bike is perfect but any robust bicycle will do. Racing cycles are not good.
What do you get? - Learn why Stuttgart is called "City between forest and vines". - Sightseeing tour of Stuttgart from an (almost) bird's eye view.
- We will visit many of the best viewpoints on the hills that encircle our Swabian capital.
Facts and figures: - Start: 10:00h; End: ~18:00h - Distance: 60km; part-way unpaved roads/trails; Vertical meters (cumulative): 1100m
Most probably this tour will make you sweat, but since we always keep close to the public transport network of Stuttgart you can drop out any time if you run out of steam. At halfway we will have lunch in a restaurant/beer garden.
