  • How about a back roads ride down to the Vanilla Bean in Pomfret Ct.? Have some lunch and a gentle ride home. This helps us all get ready for the other rides we have planned.

Sharon, Stick and I went to the Agawam bike blessing - btw, today was International Female Riders Day. Then stopped by the Bean on the way back. Was going to post some pictures but apparently I can't unless they're attached to a meetup in particular.

If anyone is interested in a morning ride, I plan to leave TJs around 9 am tomorrow. I am going to do a reservoir run out past Wachusett, staying on mostly back roads. Anyone interested, meet me in the am and we can get going.

Mike says he has a nice route up by Quabbin. Leaving TJs at 9. Think I'll join him.

    1 · May 2

    • Mike K.

I was actually thinking Wachusett, but could go either way. Quabbin may be tough to get back from in time for Bruins. But I could record if day is nice.

    • Mike K.

TJs to Westboro, up 140 loop the Wachusett Res. 110 up to Westford. Into Carlysle (Kimballs?) through Concord into Weston and back. A stop or 2 along the way.

Anyone else interested in leading this ride on Saturday since Chuck already has plans?

    May 2

    • Mike

Sorry Leslie, I'm only a mile from Motorsports International, and I'm too green to lead a ride. The sneaky picture taker and I are lolooking looking forward to seeing you again though.

      May 2

    • Leslie

No Problem Mike lol, I am just antsy to ride is all. I most likely will go up to NH since I am right on the border and don't need to wear a helmet....oooooops did I say that ???? lol

If you are looking for a ride International Motorsports is having a open house they are on RT 20 in Auburn.
Bikerworx in Hudson is also having a open house there location is 1 Kane industrial drive.
And did I mention there will be food at both locations.
Just thought I would pass this along if anyone is looking for a new motorcycle or riding gear.

    • Chuck C.

I'd love to ride Saturday, but I promised my grandson that I'd be at his first baseball game up in Gloucester.....

      3 · May 1

    • Dano

Okay let's ride to Gloucester we can stop at Woodmans ha ha

      1 · May 1

  • Beth G.

Same time if you switch it? I have commitments until about 2. You're right though. Saturday does look better.

    May 1

  • Beth G.

I am not sure how to add a +1, but would like to add a friend to the waiting list for Sunday. One note, I won't be riding if it's raining. Being a new rider I don't think it would be a good idea.

    Thanks!

    April 30

    • Rich

I agree with Beth. I'm also a new biker and won't be riding if it's raining.

      April 30

    • Mike

If your +1 is a bike you can go to the ride and click update next to "You RSVP'd yes". It will give you an option to add the plus one. Last week's ride was cancelled due to rain, and one of the mandates of every ride is to manage your own safety (don't do anything you're not comfortable with). Happy riding & hopefully it will be sunny out soon.

I'm new to Metrowest Motorcycle Riders, but it is normal to have 50 people sign up for these rides? with more waiting?

    April 28

    • Mike K.

Getting that way....is still manageable. Chuck is working on split rides. Is fun...Chuck knows nice routes that keep things moving

      1 · April 28

    • Chuck C.

We seem to have a lot of members that want to ride. We are looking at splitting the large rides with two leaders. Also remember that backseaters that sign up are in the total count, but they don't have bikes. I go over the list and do a true count and then decide if I should add more slots for those on the waiting list. And we have drop outs as we get closer to the ride date.

I'm the new guy so perhaps I'm missing it, is there a link or way for me to see our destination address and possibly the route?

    April 20

    • Chuck C.

The address is 450 Deerfield Rd at the corner of Rt 44, 169 and 97 in Pomfret Ct. The route will be whatever I make up that day.

      April 21

  • Donna

I would like to know the route as well, how many miles/hours is this typically?

    April 21

    • Chuck C.

Usually a 60 mile one way and we leave at 10 and wind our way through many back roads to the Bean. We should return back to TJ's about 2:30 - 3:00. Riders can leave whenever they need to and drop off along the route on the way back.
