Chiles Rellenos Workshop!!!

Suitable for Vegetarians!!! Stuffed roasted Poblano peppers.

This dish is like a stamp for Mexican culinary cuisine. Chile Poblano originated in the state of Puebla hence its name poblano and it is literally a roasted green pepper stuffed with either meat or cheese, covered with an egg batter and fried in a pan, topped with tomato salsa and served with Mexican rice. 

Chile Poblano is one of the most cultivates chilies in Mexico and it is so popular that it has become part of the culture. When it is fresh is about 10cm long and 5 wide, it is dark green color and usually mild. It is use for many dishes but especially for “Rajas con queso” (green peppers with cheese) “Chiles en Nogada” (green peppers stuffed with meat and nuts) and “Chiles Rellenos” (stuffed with cheese).

When the chile Poblano mature, it turned to an intense red and when it dried then it becomes chile ancho, use for sauces, marinating and moles.

In the workshop we will prepare the fresh Chile Poblano stuffed with cheese, all vegetarians are welcome.

Come and enjoy the pleasure of cooking and eating traditional Mexican food with great company and a lovely environment.

You will learn how to cook the following menu:

*Roasted stuffed chilies – Chiles rellenos

*Mexican rice 

*Traditional Mexican drinks

A special dessert will be served after the meal.

In the workshop, it will be available, water, coffee and tea and nibbles.

No skills are needed; just your lovely self and a good palate J so come and enjoy with us the pleasure of cooking and eating.
