If you love Asian food as much as I do, you're going to love our next happy hour event at Dapur Asian Tapas and Lounge. While I sometimes feel that Asian restaurants are lacking in atmosphere, Dapur is anything but, as the artful decor, retro vibe and friendly staff make this the hip place to be.
Open for just over a year now, Dapur is the creation of chef, owner and designer Edi Mulyanto (formerly the GM at Galanga Thai). While the interior design of the restaurant is eye-catching, the cuisine is just as impressive. Mulyanto has brought some extremely talented chefs on board to create a mouth-watering Asian small plates menu. Chef Almunir has been praised for his innovative Indonesian and Malaysian cuisine, while chef Naing Maung is a true master of Burmese, Japanese and Vietnamese fusion dishes.
Join us for an evening of great drinks & delectable hors d'oeuvres -- all while helping a great cause. For this event, we'll be partnering up with Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) to help raise money for this amazing non-profit.
Cost is $10 in advance or $15 at the door -- this includes one drink (Strawberry Mojito, Lychee Martini or glass of red or white wine) and a selection of Asian tapas like a Lobster Crunch Rolls, Dapur Shrimp Rolls, Spring Rolls and Chicken Dumplings.
The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS is the world's largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer.
