Juan, hola. I did not even realize you were there. I am sorry. ( I was concentrated so much in what was being said) Did you see me? My hair is a little different now (darker- redish...) Did you recognize me? Next time please say hello.

Congratulations on organizing such an interesting event!
It was a wonderful afternoon in a jewel of a hotel. The person giving the tour was marvelous. He was extremely knowledgeable and provided historical information not only about the Biltmore but about Miami and the era he was referring to. There were many of us participating but everyone was paying attention realizing that this was a very unique opportunity. I had an unforgettable afternoon.

Wow, what a turn out! Lots of people interested in the Biltmore, who knew? I know many of you introduced yourselves to Geoffrey (my brother) on your arrival.. This meetup was his idea, so thanks to him we did this Sunday event. As for me, I will continue to host as many events possible, and look forward to seeing you all again..If you dont know me, I was the guy taking photos like crazy, stay tuned, my brother will edit and post them later...I look forward to seeing you again at future events.

What a Terrific Time! Thanks to the one hundred plus of you that came out to see the Historic Biltmore Hotel. I can't wait to see you all again in the future events in these coming weeks. I had a wonderful time meeting you all and I want to give a very special thank you to our wonderful tour guide. We were really in for a treat, because it is not often that you get a tour guide of such high social status and with such a brilliant mind and capability of conveying information in a manner that everyone could understand it.

The meet up was terrific. The Biltmore is practically in my backyard, so I didn't expect to learn anything new or see anything new, but I still did. And I had a wonderful time -- best part maybe, was becoming acquainted again with Geoff and Gilbert's mom, Gilda. Our daughters went to Deerborne together. Gilda remembered coming to birthday parties at my house and having me and my daughter at birthday parties at her house. Geoff and Gilbert, please send me a way to contact your mom. We would like to let our daughters know how close they live together. Again.

Traffic southbound on US1 after getting off I95 is awful, keep that in mind. Been stuck for over 15 minutes and I'm still only by the Miami Museum of Science.

This is just too many people to enjoy a tour or learn anything. Another time!

    1 · April 26, 2013

    • Natalie

I agree it's a lot of people but I wouldn't get discouraged. A lot of people usually don't show to these meetings and it's a Sunday anyway, I bet people will be sleeping in and nursing hangovers. You should come! You can always do your own exploring if the group is too large. I have a fear of large crowds myself but I'm going to give it a try. Hope I was able to change your mind...

      April 27, 2013

    • Scott

I agree. I've hosted many a meet-up with only a fraction of the Yeses actually showing. No worries!

Hopefully, I'll be able to meet more members at this event. I wasn't able to last night at "La Traviata," though last night was fabulous.

Is there gardens on the grounds of the Biltmore. and is the place haunted does it have ghosts.

    April 23, 2013

    • Natalie

If I recall, there's a courtyard in the middle which is where there's outdoor seating and a restaurant, and there is also a garden with a somewhat large pool, but it's not a huge elaborate garden like what you find at Vizcaya (which I hear is also haunted). There are also golf courses.

      April 24, 2013

    • Alfred

      Thanks Natalie

When you visit St Augustine, do not miss the Ghost Tour, its a walking tour of the haunted houses and lots of chilling and interesting ghost stories attached,,,In fact, residents will tell you St Augustine is the most haunted town in the US in addition to being the oldest. Reason: So many people died there from disease in a short period of time. One of the ghost tour guides even had a recent picture of a ghoul on his phone!

    April 24, 2013

    • Alfred

i think they have a ghost tour in key west.

      April 24, 2013

This Earth of ours was made and is for the living and living only. Hence there are no Ghost or Ghouls, or the Devil for that matter. Only us the superior creation and the Creator.

Can we go skinny dipping in the pool after the tour. after all it is Miami.

    April 22, 2013

    • Natalie

      Deal.

      April 23, 2013

    • Nikki

With 100 peope signed up you'll have a whole paparazzi style photo moment.

      April 23, 2013

  • Tracey

There's 102 people RSVPed for this event. If even half show up, that's kind of a big group. Can they accommodate us all?

    April 23, 2013

    • Gene

What if some of us agree to have a late lunch/early dinner there? Its expensive enough = ought to cover their trouble! No?

      April 23, 2013

    • Tracey

Would we be able to see the points of interest? Hear the tour guide?

I love the Biltmore Hotel! What a gem! Although my son worked as a part time pool attendant while in High School and he used to tell me many stories about it. I have never taken a tour of it! Looking forward to it. Thanks!
