Michigan Avenue Toastmasters

NOTE NEW LOCATION: THE DRAKE HOTEL    MAT Toastmaster meetings are learn-by-doing workshops in which members and guests hone their speaking and leadership skills in a friendly atmosphere. Participants practice and learn skills by filling a meeting role, ranging from giving a prepared speech or an impromptu one to serving as timer, evaluator or grammarian. Our average meeting length is 1 hour 45 minutes. WE MEET: Every Tuesday: 6:15 pm to 8:00 pm at the Drake Hotel 140 East Walton, Chicago, IL. WHY JOIN? We are known as the most social Toastmasters chapter in the city!  Our members consist of professionals that reside in the downtown area.   Come to a meeting as a guest and you will find out why! The diversity of our membership is what makes our club so dynamic, motivating, exciting and successful. We provide a supportive, positive learning environment so that every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which, in turn, foster self-confidence and personal growth. We also schedule events so our members can network and cultivate relationships.

People were very friendly, it just wasn't what I needed or hoped it would be. I was hoping for more of a business structure yet as I said the group is very welcoming which is great.

Thanks for being so open to guests to your club meetings! I have enjoyed my two visits and can really see how Toastmasters will help polish my style. And the Michigan Ave club, in particular, is so friendly! Looking forward to attending another meeting soon!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
