Informal Meetup - Kerrytown BookFest (Sunday, Sept. 8)

On Sunday, September 8th from 11:00am to 5:00pm, the "11th Annual Kerrytown BookFest will again be held in the Farmers’ Market in the historic Kerrytown district of Ann Arbor, Michigan."

There will be speakers, exhibits, shops, and other activities all set up in order to celebrate Michigan literature and its writers. (map).

You can find an itinerary of the various workshops and panel discussions at http://www.kerrytownbookfest.org (link).

Reminder: parking is free in downtown Ann Arbor on Sundays.

We will not have a book discussion in September, so this event will be the only time we meet this month.

Very sorry to be missing this meetup after all. Blue Tractor would have been fun.

I am going out on a limb here in assuming we will not be meeting the entire 6 hours of the bookfest. Is there a specific time and place within the market to meet?

Steve, we're not officially meeting anywhere. This is just an announcement for members about the event in general. But with that said, if our members want to meet up and then go out to a nearby pub (Blue Tractor, for example) at some point, that'd be fine.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
