Come to Schoolcraft Michigan on July 4th, and carve in the 4th of July Parade - followed by some lunch at the American Legion together, and then a group ride on the Portage Michigan trails 10 miles to the north.
Carol and I had a great time at this Parade in 2011, and carving up the Portage trails afterwards. Then in 2012, Kenny Mayne joined, Dennis and his daughter Madeline, my friend Penny, and Carol brought a friend, Becky from Elkhart, and Beverly Walker was in town visiting her daughter in Schoolcraft and she was able to join also... And Denice Shuty came over from Chicago and joined a few of us for a little riding on the Portage trails after the parade.. In 2013, we had Donna from Ohio join us, George came over from Monroe, and Jennifer from Dearborn, and we had my friend Joe Bennett from Paw Paw join also. In addition to other locals, like Dennis and his Daughter from Portage, and my friend Penny from Vicksburg! - Let's make 2014 another great turnout for this parade and group ride.

The parking depends on when you arrive, but you can likely park below in the yellow marked area, North side of Clay Street at the Elementary, or take the entrance into the lot North of that (marked Maroon).. -- The small blue circle along 14th street is the check in booth, and we usually stage to the south of there a bit marked with a brown oval.. The check in booth should be able to answer where we are staging though, if you arrive late and have any trouble finding us
