Once the calendar turns to November it doesn't mean it's time to yearn for next October to once again shoot some beautiful fall color...You just have to travel a bit! Fall color is so darn short-lived! Just about the time you're hitting your groove and have things figured out...it's over and done for another year. It seems I'm always wishing for that one more weekend of good autumn shooting...Well here's another chance: The leaves will all be long gone here in the midwest but the fall color spectacular will be at or near peak in southern Utah! This is one of my favorite times to visit Zion and Bryce National Parks. The weather has turned cool, the crowds are gone and the scenery is breathtaking! Zion and Bryce National Parks are simply amazing! There's just something special about red rock...Add some fall color, perhaps a dusting of snow...We'll have three full days to visually explore these national treasures. We will all leave with great photos! This is a Field Workshop. Obviously three days is nowhere near enough time to explore these two gems in the national park system thoroughly. But I have been to both of these parks numerous times and will guide you to some of the most photogenic spots in each. Throughout the three days we will discuss proper field photography techniques as well as composition and design considerations. We will have "classroom" sessions each day of the workshop. Prior to the workshop I will discuss with each attendee an equipment list and a shooting plan for the weekend...I will aim to stretch YOUR creative boundries on this trip! There will not be any lengthy or difficult hikes on this trip although one should be prepared to do some moderate walks of up to a mile or so. Dress in layers and plan to travel light. We will be based in Kanab, Utah for this workshop.
