I got there around 10:30. and it sure was packed.

I saw 3 Canon reps there, talked to them & looked at products for a while. One of them is grouchy, though :)

Sony has an impressive collection of cameras, and at least 3 reps.
The same with Nikon, Tamron, Kenko/Hoya/Tokina (same company).

It looks like everybody is getting in the tripod business. Not that I'm complaining. Competition is to the consumer's advantage.

I was 155 in the sensor cleaning line, and the camera was done today.
I Picked it up at around 5:30, and saw that there was still a long line of cameras waiting for the cleaning.

The 10:00 AM class was actually good. Same for the 1:00 PM (same presenter from Nikon).
Lots of flash tricks for artistic photography. Much better than many presentations I have been to, that normally presented basics.

The Macro class at 4:00 PM was good for beginners. Just the very basics. Presenter is from Kenko/Hoya/Tokina.

Retrieved the gift certificate today: Thank you both MPA and Camera Mart.

Yes, there seemed to be a definite ebb and flow. Fairly busy when I got there, :45 later, about 1/4 as many people. This time, the Canon rep was able to make it; sick last time. No one (while I was there) was talking with the Canon rep, so I had him to myself for the most part. Was good being able to have a reasonably focused discussion to serve my current needs.

today was packed. I was 16th on line(33rd camera) got out of there at 12:15. Cleaning started late and there were about 100something cameras, which reps said won't finish today. So if you are planning on going tomorrow for cleaning make sure you are first in line.
