Hi, I'm new to this whole online photo thing, but am excited to see all the amazing photos others are taking and to share a few of my own.
Ever since I can remember.
I just got a Pentax K30..before that Olympus point and shoot...also Pentax 6x7 film, Nikon FM3, Various other film...just getting used to digital.
Learn more about my Pentax DSLRf and more about the post processing quagmire.
Anywhere I am ....with a good friend along for company...preferably a friend who is crazy about taking photos also!?
When I was younger...not doing too much of that lately!
My first time! Was fun, informative and interesting. It's a good thing....to have Mentors! :)
Hi Karen, I have both the k-30 and a k-5. I have had the k-30 since the fall and the k-5 for a a couple of months. I got a great deal on one from one of the Canadian camera store chains that was clearing them out to make room for the k-5 II. I had pentax 35mm when I used to shoot film, and I like that you can use old lenses with the k-30 and k-5. I am still getting used to both cameras, but like the k-5 a bit more.
Yes Karen, I know what you mean when it comes to those manuals, I mean who really writes those things anyway? All seems like Greek to me(no offense to the Greek) I guess I just try to figure it out as I play with it, kind of like most (men) don't like to look at the direction when they put something together until they have something on backwards (Wink) Hope to see you soon, God bless you and yours, Tracey
Thanks for the nice note, Karen! You've got the skills and eye from working with film for so many years... I'll look forward to seeing what you create in upcoming shoots! It was nice meeting you and talking to you around the conservatory-- I'll look forward to the next time at another shoot! Enjoy our cool, long spring... I'll try and schedule some more interesting shoots while the flowers are out.
