B.S. Degree from MSU (Biochem), worked in a Neuroscience lab. Yesterday I saw, on a weather blog, a post that claimed "(t)he science is never settled" (referring to climate change). I was aghast. So a main driving force in my life is to counter the many people who are afraid of Science, for some reason. (I actually think I know the reason: Inability to use what teachers refer to as "higher order thinking skills". And I believe Michigan, like the federal gov't needs better direction, guided by science, informed (not dictated) by tradition.
Hi. I, too have always had a passion for Science. I'm now retired, Have 1 daughter, she's in law school. Was a HS Science teacher in my 30's & 40's. Lately I've been a political activist. I live in Westland.
