Michigan Atheists Annual Godless Picnic

Pack your picnic basket – bring your day's eats and something to share. We will provide cups, plates, napkins, forks and spoons. We will also provide a propane grill complete with FREE hot dogs and all the trimmings. And, yes, you may grill anything you wish – veggies, steaks, chicken or whatever. You may want to bring musical instruments, lawn games, table games, a lawn chair, bug repellent, a jacket or umbrella if it looks like rain (though we have a large pavilion). Very near our pavilion is a handicapped-accessible restroom. The park’s free Disk Golf Course is near our site and we have two sets of disks for your use. Don't forget the kids as there is a super play area at our site. Plan to stay into the evening -- we'll have plenty of daylight. Join us rain or shine.

Note: All secular groups including skeptics and humanists are encouraged to bring their banners, signs, literature and meeting announcements.

A great time had by all. Nice weather, good food, and lots of hanging out and talking amongst friends.

Michigan’s 35th Annual Godless Picnic was enjoyed by about 50 men, women and children. The food was in abundance and delicious. Conversations were invigorating and endless. We greeted old friends and made new friends. Even the weather was perfect.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
