Microcontrollers are a microprocessor that interfaces to external hardware. It can take inputs from hardware (sensors, for example), perform calculations, and control external hardware devices. The purpose of this group is to learn and become skilled with programming PIC microcontrollers.. We will work with hardware (electronic circuits) as well as software (assembly, C). We will work on topics discussed at meetings, build prototypes and working code, and bring them to the next meeting. Also, group members will share with the group the part you worked on, and explain to the rest of the group how it works. Other microcontrollers, microprocessors, DSPs, or related ICs can be included in the group topics. However, the main focus will be the PIC microcontroller to become good with programming it. User suggestions are welcome. Also, if you have some (microcontroller based) electronics circuit you want to work on, or some short projects, don't hesitate to mention it. We can work on it as a group.
