VisualStudio Lightswitch

Sesson Brief: How many times have you been asked to write a form over data application? How interesting are those tasks really? We write the same bit of code over and over again; pull a list, pull a single element from that list, edit that element, save, rinse, repeat. By using LightSwitch many of those repetitive tasks are abstracted away from you so you can focus on the more interesting pieces of your application. In this talk we will explore how to get started using LightSwitch as a development platform and how you can customize it to create a great looking, responsive, and HTML5 compliant app quickly and with as little monotony as possible.

Author Bio: Tom is an application architect at TCSC from Richmond, VA who is just trying to figure this whole programming thing out. He has spent many hours hunched over his keyboard writing mountains of .Net code. He has recently moved from the shadows and into the sun, and has been focusing on front end development, trying to make things more prettier. He is also working on his grammar in his spare time (with the help of his high school English teacher wife).
