Gear Suggestions

Click here for suggestions for what to wear and what not to wear for our hikes.

Please remember we are a social hiking group that values fellowship and camaraderie and practice good hike etiquette. We take breaks as necessary and have at least one guide in the front in addition to a "sweeper" in the back which means that no hiker is left behind. If you get upset because someone has to rest at the top of a hill etc. then please find another group! We are very supportive, encouraging, and focus on safety while getting or staying fit on the trail and practicing Leave No Trace outdoor ethics.

A Well-Mannered, Leashed Fido is Welcome on This Hike!

Another wonderful hike led by Keith! On a perfect day! (If only the humidity level would always be like this.) Great group of people with whom to hike, pleasant spot for lunch on a well-chosen log, happy butterflies, a deer or two. What's not to like!

One hike was at Rockburn and another was near Clarksville, rt. 108. I can't remember the name.

I have not hiked in a while. In fact I consider myself a newbie. I've only taken advantage of two hikes - easy with mid atlantic. Is this a hike I should consider?

There will be optional liquid libations and/or noshes at a nearby establishment specializing in services for riders of bi-wheeled, open, motorized transporters. Regulars will know what this means.
