Optional Post Hike Lunch Information and Menu

We will have an optional hike lunch at Cozy Restaurant as they welcome hikers and have a fabulous buffet for a great price. I will ask for a show of hands of who wants to join us there for a bite mid-way thru the hike and contact them with how many will be attending the lunch so you can decide on the trail.

We have a guide in the front in addition to a "sweeper" in the back to help ensure that no hiker is left behind. If you get upset because someone has to rest at the top of a hill etc. then find another group! We are very supportive and encouraging with no pressure on speed but focus on safety while leaving no trace .

Fido is welcome on this Hike!
Let's have good times and see you on the trail!

Excellent hiking experience!!! Great weather, good organization and coordination by hike leaders, excellent interaction and conversation with hikers, and some of God's best creative efforts displayed for our enjoyment at the overlooks and along the trail.

@Enrique @Brittany Haven't checked the map yet for exact distances, but the best bet would 745ish at the Shady Grove Mettro "kiss and Ride" lot. Maybe a tad earilier as I'll be helping shuttle cars and people around. I was -not- planning on going to the post hike meal though, is that still ok?

    May 17, 2011

  • Brittany A.

Hey Scott, I'd love to catch a ride with you if I can. As much as I'd love to rough it with no a/c in my own car, I think the hike will be enough for one day:) What time are you meeting?

    May 16, 2011

  • Sandy B.

Will meet at the I70 park and ride, I am driving.

For the inside the beltway crowd, I can pick up some one at street level at the Pentagon City Mall metro or at the "Kiss and Ride" at Shady Grove. Room for 3 more

    May 13, 2011

  • Brittany A.

I actually have a small car and would be happy to drive. I can fit 3 or 4, but I have no a/c so I'm not promising an entirely comfortable ride:)

    May 12, 2011

  • Mary

Is anyone coming from Ellicott City/Columbia?

    May 12, 2011

  • Brittany A.

I am coming from DC. Is there a carpool already organized?
