How did you discover Mid-Atlantic Hiking Group (MAHG)?

Article in the Washington Post

What are you looking to experience with MAHG? (examples: walks, transition from walking to hiking, easy/moderate/strenuous/very strenuous hiking, trail stewardship, classes) Please state all that applies to help us plan activities to meet your needs.

Moderate to strenous hikes. I often jog the C & O Canal Park Trails near my house, but would like to walk/hike on some longer or steeper trails further out. It sounds like many of the hikes are on weekends, which makes sense for most people, but as a mother of two and a real estate agent, weekends are often my busiest time and it's hard to get out for hours! (Although I could manage it occasionally.) But if you do plan any trips on weekdays, that would be great. I would be interested in trail maintenance volunteering also, although I don't have experience with that. Do you every have family hikes?

I love hiking and jogging the trails of the C & O Canal Park near my home in Cabin John, and have only occasionally done trails farther out. I think it will be easier to discover new places with a group than trying to figure it out by myself!
