I live and walk in DC but would love to get out in nature more.

How did you discover Mid-Atlantic Hiking Group (MAHG)?

meetup suggested it when I joined WalkDCity

What are you looking for out of this group? (walks, transition from walking to hiking, easy, moderate, or strenuous hikes, ultra hiking, or trail maintenance work?) Please state all that applies to help us plan activities to meet your needs...

walks through easy/moderate. I was out last weekend and noticed the uphill portion of the hike was a bit challenging, so... I need to get out more. But somewhere without off-leash dogs. And preferably in the afternoon or at least late morning.

Hi CS welcome to the group. "to nil" to bid zero in partners spades. reward for success is 100 points plus or minus your partners bid. penalty for taking 1 trick or more is -100 points plus or minus your partners bid. example you bid nil your partner bids 5 the opposition bids 7 together. You take no tricks your partner only gets 4 the opposition takes 9 thus they get 92 (2 bags) and you get 100 - 50 for a total of 50 points. ( i made this to long so its two posts in order) this is first

alternately your take 3 tricks after bidding the nil your partner takes 4 for a total of 7 thus setting the opposition. score = your team -100 +52= -48 points to your oppositions -70. not to shabby!

Hello-- Thanks for joining Action for Happiness. While it took a bit longer to launch than I had originally hoped, I am delighted by the enthusiasm and energy the New Year outreach has generated. I hope you will be able to join us now that we are in gear. Cheers Michael
