Join us for MAPA's Second Annual Light Sport Jamboree at Essex County Airport (aka Caldwell/CDW). This year's event will take place on Friday, July 17th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, July 18th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Currently over a dozen aircraft makers have confirmed that they'll exhibit at MAPA's LSA Jambo, making it the largest LSA event in the greater New York Metropolitan Area.

For regularly updated listings of exhibitors, program details and special instructions if you're planning to fly in, visit: http://www.midatlanti...

If you are an LSA owner, dealer, manufacturer or distributor, please register to exhibit at: http://www.jambo2009....

On the evening of Friday the 17th, a panel of LSA owners will present their perspectives on the selection, financing, acquisition, insurance and maintenance of an LSA in the hangar of C&W Aero Services at CDW. A complementary "gourmet" dinner of hot dogs, chili and all the fixins'
provided will be provided, courtesy of C&W. Light Sport Aircraft of every kind will be on display on Friday and Saturday during the event hours.

Contact David Simpson, MAPA Program Chair at [masked] or [masked].

Formed in 1957, this year marks the 52nd anniversary of the Mid-Atlantic Pilots Association, a non-profit flying organization dedicated to air safety, aviation education and flying camaraderie. All levels of pilots, student pilots and aviation enthusiasts are invited to join.

There are going to be a lot of people at the Jambo. Too bad they're not all on Meetup. I think I need to bring a computer or two to the next meeting and force them all to sign up.

    •  Great event. It was great to see and learn about light-sport aircraft.
    •  I thouight Jambo on both Friday and Saturday was great, but then again I'm the co-organizer. We had some rain on Friday, but that didn't dampen anyone's spirits. A total of 18 aircraft were on display and 652 people attended. We'll be posting pictures on the MeetUp web site as well as the MAPA web site at http://www.midatl.... Immediately after the event, Wayne Smith - my fellow organizer and I conducted a feedback session with a few of the exhibiting pilots who stayed behind and they provided invaluable input for next year's event. We plan to survey the other exhibitors - as well as those we contacted but decided not to exhibit - both by phone and on-line. Your feedback is welcomed, too!
    •  Well I sure had a good time but I wish there had been more folks there to enjoy it with me. I thought the discussion program went exceedingly well - and not just because I ran it.
