You don't have to drive into the country to capture beautiful fall images. The MDC reservoirs just outside West Hartford Center offer lots of opportunities for fall photography. There are miles of wooded paths and trails, and human-made structures for contrast against nature, and large pond-like reservoirs perfect for capturing reflections of colorful trees. The Farmington Avenue portion of MDC contains 4 reservoirs, and one pond in between them. Plenty of photo opportunities. If you are more ambitious and have the time, you can take a short drive over to MDC's Reservoir #6, off Albany Ave in West Hartford (by Bishop's Corner).
If anyone would like to bring their four-legged friend(s) with them, please do so. MDC permits pets on leashes and a cleanup after the pets (if necessary). (Sorry for short notice about pets, I just thought of that.)
We will meet at around 1:30 pm in the parking lot. I will wait in the parking lot until 1:40, until everyone has arrived. If you may be late, please indicate so on the discussion board. I (Kathy) will be able to read the message from my iPhone at the Res.
Last minute attendees (and their photos) and guests are welcome.
