Inviting all beginning photographers and advanced "manipulators of color and light," and every photographer in between:
Join us for some discussion about most basic elements of photography: color and composition. Learn from Mid CT Photography members of have mastered the science (or art) of using color and composition to create images that make a statement or evoke a mood. During this meetup, you might learn about the different "colors" that are present in the atmosphere and how those can effect the quality of your photos, or the best way to compose (or crop) your subjects, or how to use the settings on your camera to compensate for bad lighting conditions.
If you would like, you can upload a few photos to the album Color and Composition: for Oct 9, 2013 Monthly Meetup, so that constructive advice can be given. Photos to upload can include those in which the color and/or composition did not work out favorably, or Before and After photos of the same image (to share with us what technique finally worked), and difficult to compose photos that, miraculously, came out great.
If you would like help with settings on your camera (DSLR or digital point&shoot), you may bring the camera with you too.
If you arrive early (anytime after 6pm), you can also enjoy a relaxing dinner at Panera's with any other early birds who show up. Early arrival is completely optional, and you can eat dinner during the meetup because, well, we are meeting in a restaurant. Of course, eating dinner here is also optional.
