FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC)

You may stay for a few hours or the whole day.  If you prefer to participate on your own Sunday, please send me an email via Meetup so I can give your name to the FIRST public relations person.

We have been invited to photograph at the FIRST Robotics Competition for the sixth year in a row. Teams of high school students, with their adult mentors, build robots and enter them in competitions.

This is a colorful and exciting activity. Our pictures from last year are at

and

Last year the game was Spinning Disks, this year it's Ariel Assist. FRC video of this year's demo at http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/frc/2014-game

In exchange for the press passes and access to the field and pit, FIRST again asks that we give them pictures we take, for their publicity release use.

FIRST is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit public charity created to inspire young people’s interest and participation in science and technology.  Their New England website is at http://www.nefirst.org

Thanks Bill for making arrangements for this event. It was nice meeting you and rest of the members. Also, for me it was a very different experience to take photos in school environment and cover Robotics event! I am glad that I came...though I was little troubled with appropriate settings :)

I miss the ambiance of the CT Convention Center, but the better lighting at Southington High was a good tradeoff.
