This group is for women in their 40's, 50's, and 60's who are going through the trials and tribulations of mid-life: weight gain, body changes, lack of energy, and more! I've been searching for, and finally decided to start my own group where I could focus on these issues with other women who are going through the same thing. My hope for this group is that we will: be able to support each other in our efforts to get healthy and fit, create a more energetic and ambitious life for ourselves, and develop friendships with other women who share our same goals. Some possible meetups I plan on creating are: Power walks & jogs at the park (and other areas), strength training and fitness meetups, discussions on healthy eating (including - but not limited to - vegetarian & vegan menus), bike riding for fitness, hiking, get-together cooking nights, and of course an occasional ladies night out/in to celebrate our milestones! We will hold our meetups in Long Beach and the surrounding areas. Of course, if you have any suggestions of events that would be a good fit for this group, please don't hesitate to let me know!
