Christmas Party/Game Night

We are starting at 6:00 instead of 7:00 for this event.

As in past years, we are combining our December game night with our annual Christmas party.  Please join us for a fantastic, fun-filled evening with friends, fellowship, food, games, laughter and even a gift exchange!

Regarding the gift exchange, should you choose to participate, please bring a gift valued no more than $10.  We will probably follow past year's routine on the exchange, with maybe a twist or two...join in for the fun!

I have a suggestion for the food/drinks. If your birthday is in Jan/Feb/Mar, please bring a main dish type of food (smoky links, spaghetti, pizza, chili, soup, etc.).  If your birthday is in Apr/May/Jun, please bring a fruit or veggie side dish of any kind (use your imagination).  If your birthday is in Jul/Aug/Sep, please bring a "snacky or munchy" type of food (again, imagination is good).  If your birthday is in Oct/Nov/Dec, please bring a dessert.  We will have tea, lemonade and coffee.  Feel free to bring any other non-alcoholic beverages.

This is just a suggestion, nobody is going to request proof of your birthday or penalize you if you bring the "wrong" thing!  But I would like for everyone to NOT SHARE what they are bringing so that it will be a complete surprise.  As Rick always tells me...it will all work out!

What I would like for you to share is ideas for a group game that has something to do with Christmas (like the "pin the nose on Rudolph" last year).  But if you prefer, we can just get the regular games out and play those too.

This is YOUR party, so make sure you don't miss it...and bring someone with you!

It was nice to see everyone. Sorry I left kinda abruptly, was worried about how everything would go today in the service and about work tonight and tomorrow night. Had a really nice time playing games and getting the popcorn. Merry Christmas Mark, Bruce, Rick,Jo and Larry, Kat, and Shirley and everyone!

Just a reminder for everyone...since we are meeting at 6:00 tonight, the church parking lot will be full because they have a service at 6:00. There may not be much space on the upper parking lot but you can always move your car after the service lets out. We will need to be fairly quiet (no music, etc.) until the service lets out around 7:00.

One of my guests is a 3-year old girl. Just want you to know in case anyone else was contemplating bringing a young child...there will be some kid's games and puzzles and coloring books...stuff for them to do.

It may be a little late to get this going, but Peggy if you want to send plug in to me by email, I can put it in the body of the event, of coarse you will be in charge of the activity.

It will be to cold to go outside but if anyone who plays an instrument and would like to play it please bring it. We can sing carols around the tree in the game room. I will bring song pages

We are going to change this game night our Christmas party. Julaine and I will give more details soon. I know some of you were looking forward to playing games, but there might be room for some of that as well.

Pretty much spelled out above. Carmy I think Caroling is a great idea. Does any one have the words to the songs? Carmy if you want caroling, a caroling we will go!

Bring anything you might want to do at the party...movies, music, games, you never know what we might end up doing...but it's bound to be a fun time for all!

The gift exchange is a yes, probably the white elephant format in some form, but the suggestion is to bring a gift, wrapped, for under $10.00. I have several versions of the "Christmas Carol". I will bring a few if that is a route we want to go, but if someone has a Christmas game or idea in their head that would involve the whole group, I would go for that!
