After leaving D&D in college, I turned to PC gaming, but never found it to be as rich an experience as rolling dice and keeping track on paper. Even the PC games that I played and enjoyed the most were almost always story based. That was the real draw. My wife found this website, and I was excited to see that there is people my age (39) who still enjoy the old pencil and paper game. I would love to develop my character, and eventually DM.
Yes, depending on the schedule. Most of the groups I've seen are once a month, and that would be no problem. Two or more times a month might be tricky, but I'd have to see.
I would love to sit in on a session or two before actually joining a group, but the goal is to play, and maybe even run a delve once myself. I've DM'd before in the old ruleset, and it will be great to see the improvements in 3.5. One note is that I do not have any miniatures to use, and I'd pretty much have to buy all the needed materials (books, dice, etc...)
Greetings. I am a systems engineer for a government contractor. I recently moved to Woodbridge, and am a long time gamer. I played the orignal first edition up to 2nd, before stopping in college. I am excited to have found this site.
