The Greater Middle East (The Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia) regions are a great crossroads of cultural exchange and the center of political polarization.
We are divided rather than united over the region, politically speaking.
The main purpose of this group is to understand the people and ways of The Greater Middle East and its influence in the world.
Each member is expected to contribute his/her knowledge and experiences; or be open-minded to learning what the group has to offer.
It is ideal to have people from different cultures, race, countries and religions in this group.
Some examples of activities include films/documentaries, museums, potlucks/restaurants, theater/concerts, community lectures and discussion of regional history and current affairs.
We hope you join us in exploring this wonderful rich culture for The Greater Middle East Exchange Meetup!
