We floated the upper section, from Double Branch Rd, yesterday.
A beautiful float, super easy put-in. This part is only floatable for a few more weeks...
    Watching the water levels.

Is everyone up for a 10 mile float?

    2 · May 16, 2013

It looks like it will be 8 or 12.5 miles. I drove about today checking out access points for takeout. The best access is at the bridge on 48...a 12.5 mile float.

Went down the Piney Saturday, water was high, no problems with strainers. It took us 2.5hrs. for the 8 miles. Water current was 4.1mph just sitting there. It was the most fun I've ever had on the Piney
