Games and Playtesting Night - February 2013

Bring out games and prototypes for a Monday night game session. We're all about seeing your ideas on the table, giving you some feedback, critique, and fresh ideas to bring what's in your head out on the table and in the hands of some eager playtesters.

There are a couple games in this crew now that have seen the table a few times, and it's been great to see changes and tweaks as time has gone on... Now we'll start grooming these games for submission to publishers.

This will take place at my day job location. Full kitchen, water, and restrooms on site. Feel free to bring in a snack to share.

so sorry to change on you now, because the whole submission to publishers is something I don't wanna miss! I have a drawing contract job I have agreed to do starting Monday since I'm a little low on funds. Is the getting ready for publishers something that can be done the next playtesting session also?

Hahaha! Well you've seen the table space we have. There's plenty of room for you to do your work. I think our next session will be happening just before Tennessee Game Days (as in, Monday the week of TN Game Days), so there might be time for a last-minute check-in with your design or any additional materials you might want to show.

"Come when you can, leave when you must," has always been my motto, Dan.

Thank you.....because of my very short attention span I will probably stay home and work on my drawings this time ,since I would just want to stop drawing and play the games!! My day contract is up the end of this month and I want to chase this guy's business for next month and will just end up getting distracted. Have a great Meetup!

Just as a heads-up to newcomers. We keep the front door locked, but you'll likely see us through the windows. Just ring the doorbell and we'll come let you in, no problem.

I don't know how to play role playing games. I would like to create a cool game dealing with vampires or some type of monsters.... Ideas?

There are plenty of directions you can go with this. Likely it will be better to sit down with you and hear what you're trying to make, then offer suggestions that match up with your basic plan. I think this meetup will be an excellent opportunity to help you flesh out some of your plans, and hopefully put a lot of notes on paper so you can build on them.

In any case, best of success with your idea, Vic!
