We are a group of local people of all ages, backgrounds and traditions who would like to begin meeting weekly for both guided and silent meditation sessions. All are welcome, whether you are a beginner or advanced practitioner.
Some people prefer to attend either the silent or the guided session, and some choose to participate in both sessions. We recommend arriving about 10-15 minutes before the session starts to find a seat and get comfortable. Both floor cushions and folding chairs are available, and you are welcome to bring your own cushion as well, if you prefer.
This is a non-religious, non-sectarian group that is purely interested in creating a safe and welcoming space where meditators from all backgrounds and experience levels can gather for the purpose of benefiting ourselves, each other, and the community as a whole.
A $5 donation per person is suggested in order to cover the expenses associated with maintaining the meditation space, however, no one will be turned away for lack of funds. A donation bowl is located near the door at each session for those who are able to contribute. Your donation covers participation in both the guided and the silent session.
Parents are welcome to bring children nine and up. All minors should be accompanied by an adult.
